Mona Daniella's life in photos 4

Picture
Mona with her brother Mac
San Diego, CA
 January 1, 1997
We won that trip from a Raffle from the 92nd Street Y, the nursery school where Mona had the happiest years of her childhood. The trip to San Diego included flight tickets, 2 rooms in Lowe Coronado, tickets to the Zoo, and to the SeaWorld.
We arrived to the hotel just in time for New Year's Eve. The second we walked into the lobby, people yelled "Happy New Year!" and balloons fell off from the ceiling. It was 12:00 AM, January 1, 1997. Both Mona and Mac were mesmerized, and too excited to go to bed with the balloons falling around them ... they couldn't grab enough balloons.
I don't think we left one animal unseen is San Diego. We spent the entire time visiting the zoo, and SeaWorld. There, Mona sat in the front and got all wet when the whale moved its tail, and splashed water all over. Mona got wet, she didn't care, she was so, so happy.
In this picture they are in the restaurant of the hotel, the night we arrived. We had another dinner because the kids were hungry again, they didn't want to go to sleep...

Mona would later refer to this trip as one of her most memorable, one of her favorite trips of her life.
